Welcome to the Eye Care Clinical Reference Group space

The CRG cover eye care, with the medical and surgical care of the eyes.  This includes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the eye and visual system.  Subspecialty areas include:

  • Cornea and anterior segment
  • Medical retina
  • Uveitis
  • Glaucoma
  • Ocular oncology
  • Adnexal
  • Paediatric ophthalmology/strabismus
  • Surgical retina (vitreo-retinal)
  • Primary Care
  • Medical and neuro-ophthalmology

The initial thinking is that Glaucoma will be the first specialty area for review with input from specialists in this area.

The next meetings of the group are 23 March 2023 12:30 - 14:00 UTC and 18 May 2023 11:30 - 13:00 UTC ( Password 008589).

We welcome participation from anyone interested in ensuring that SNOMED CT supports the clinical requirements for electronic documentation and communication of patient care in any setting, focused on pathology and laboratory medicine.
