Pilot model reviews

6.1 Pilot finding models

6.2 Pilot test tracking

D. PertelReview and discuss modeling of findings from pilot and determine next steps.

The first two concept models were reviewed.

Unsupported beliefs/attitudes about food or nutrition related topics

  • Several (up to 4 potentially) concepts in this nutrition diagnosis.
  • Consistent with what Classification subcommittee recommended, an expert (Cam Rising, PhD, RD), suggested the following:
  • Nutrition belief finding inconsistent with scientific evidence and Conflicting attitude about nutrition care (finding)  as 2 that would address separation of beliefs/attitudes.

  • It is unclear how to address food or nutrition because disjunction is not permitted in SNOMED and there is not one 'name' for these two concepts.
  • This will be discussed by the Committee in the coming project year.

Not ready for diet/lifestyle change

  • Contains two concepts (diet and lifestyle), which is problematic and not possible in SNOMED.
  • Not ready for nutrition related behavior change or Absence of readiness for nutrition related behavior change were supported.
  • Alternatively, concepts without the idea of 'nutrition' were also supported Not ready for behavior change or Absence of readiness for behavior change

The 3 additional models will be discussed by the CPG in November 2020.
