Teleconferences
As many of you are aware, I had planned that we would have a teleconference before the first face-to-face meeting. For logistic reasons related to E-Learning development and delivery, this has not been possible ... so our first meeting will be the face to face session.
We will plan a schedule of teleconferences to start shortly after the Montevideo conference, to firmly establish the work plans for the AG.
Attendance in Montevideo
The first face-to-face meeting of ELAG will be held on 27-Oct-2015 at 13:30-17:00 local time (16:30-20:00 UTC).

Objectives and Agenda for Montevideo
Key objectives of the meeting ELAG meeting in Montevideo include:
- Clarifying the role and scope of the advisory group and its members
- Reporting current status of E-Learning development and delivery
- Requesting advice some key questions related to consolidating, improving and extending our E-Learning service taking account of experience so far
- Developing the plan for the work of the group in 2016
Objectives (a) and (b) are primarily concerned with setting the context. The main focus of the agenda will be on objectives (c) and (d).

Future Communications and Collaborative Working
There is now an ELAG Space (https://confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/ELAG) on the new IHTSDO collaborative platform (Confluence). The team are currently learning the best way to use this, so it is currently a rather empty space! However, by the time of our face-to-face meeting you will find it populated with more information and meeting details. I am sending this message by email - but will also post part of it to the blog in our collaborative space.
Meeting recordings and meeting notes
In common with other Advisory Groups we will be recording meetings and posting the recordings the collaborative area. The recordings will provide a way for group members to catch up with the discussions rather than relying on the written record. Notes summarizing the meeting will also be posted in the collaborative area but, with the source recordings available for the full details, the notes will concentrate on summarizing outcomes and actions rather than providing detailed minutes of discussions. Recordings will be available for download from the Meeting Recordings page, which is only accessible by members of the Advisory Group.
