Dear Ian,

1. For me the difference between Snomed CT and other classifications (ICD) is, that Snomed CT is rich enough to be used in documentation without loss of information.
   In ICD there is always a two-step process: first documentation in natural language, second codification with loss of information.
   Possibility of linking knowledge resources helps to bring the knowledge of experts to less experienced doctors.
2. To show the possibilities to those who would be responsible for data input, I think, you could have a sample implementation showing documentation with a few clicks resulting in a full report.
   A link to knowledge resources could perhaps take advantage of the ontology and look up something that can be derived from the concept model.
3. I will have a talk on structured reporting in surgical pathology in early June (German Society for Pathology), we could talk about this in April/May.
