  4. Causative agent is optional. If it is not present in the logic model, 'caused by [Substance]' needs to be removed from the descriptions.

    As I am creating similar templates, I am wondering if finding site, associated morphology and causative agent are all optional for role group 1 then is it not possible that pathological process could wind up being the only member of this role group?

    Or in other words, shouldn't role group 1 have a cardinality of 0..1?

      How would this work with the new OWL refset and self-grouped attributes?  In this case, even  if PATH PROCESS were the only relationship. it would still be self grouped, no?

    I am not familiar with the OWL refset and self-grouped attributes. Perhaps someone can elaborate.

    Jim Case  Bruce Goldberg If path process were the only relationship, it would be represented as self-grouped in the role group 1. Please see the published SNOMED CT OWL Guide that I updated last Friday. 2.5. Generating Necessary Normal Form Relationships from the OWL Refsets

    I have found a concept wherein the AFTER does not apply, suggest this should be optional, e.g. Infectious corneal infiltrates caused by contact lens (disorder).

    Monica Harry . Not sure why "after" would not apply. Would not the corneal infiltrates /infection occur after the contact lens is inserted ?
