L. Unangst

Review release of new items.

Discuss questions, concerns, or suggestions for concepts (eg, provide type of concept, such as, observable, finding, procedure).

The initial review of the January 31, 2020 release yielded addition of nearly 120 concepts from eNCPT. Review and validation of the mappings will occur. The 2020 Edition licensee spreadsheet will contain the mappings for these concepts. For future releases, the type of SNOMED CT concept (eg, observable, finding, procedure) associated with each eNCPT will be provided in the spreadsheet.

Pilot Test Modeling

  • 5.1 Terminology Pilot Modeling Review
  • 5.2 Terminology Pilot Test Modeling Tracking

D. Pertel

L. Unangst

Review and approve or suggest changes to modeling.

Models reviewed:

Physical inactivity–the CPG recommends that this concept should be mapped and modeled to 415510005 |Sedentary lifestyle (finding)| based on the eNCPT reference sheet rather than the concept to which it is currently mapped 413300002 |Exercise below recommended level (finding)|. This portion of the minutes will be provided to the Academy's Nutrition Care Process Research Outcomes Committee for information.

Easily pluckable hair–the CPG accepted the modeling as presented and suggested submission of the eNCPT concept as a synonym.

Increased appetite–maintenance of the current modeling was supported. The Interprets attribute Eating feeding/drinking observable (observable entity) is not necessarily changed when there is an increase in appetite. That is to say that one could have an Increased appetite without changing one's intake of food (includes liquid and solid food).

Revisions to the pilot review process were accepted as proposed. Items that can be identified for consent will be noted on the agenda and approved as presented unless discussion of the item/s is requested by the CPG.
