Rules for description generation:

  1. Apply General rules for generating descriptions for templates;
  2. This is a general template. If additional attributes are included then the FSN needs to be updated accordingly (e.g. Units, Scale type). Some attributes are explicitly modelled but they are implied in the FSN (e.g., Process agent,  Inherent location).
  3. If the value of 'direct site' is essentially the same as the 'inheres in', then do not include "measured at [direct site]." For example, if the 'direct site' value is 122575003 |Urine specimen (specimen)| and the 'inheres in' value is 78014005 |Urine (substance)|, then "measured at urine" is not needed. The 'direct site' is only needed when it is different than the 'inheres in' value.

  1. Hi Suzanne Santamaria, it looks like that 'inherent location' and 'process agent' are not included in the descriptions. Should they be included in the description pattern? I assumed that 'scale type' and units are normally not part of descriptions.

    1. Hi Yongsheng Gao, thanks for your review. We have updated the second rule in the description generation to cover your questions. Does that make sense?

      1. Hi Suzanne Santamaria, thanks for the notes on the description.

  2. Hi Yongsheng GaoCould you please update role group number for this template.? Thanks

    1. Hi Quyen Ly, we do not use role group number any more for modelling though they are generated for inferred relationship file. All these attributes for observable are self-grouped. It means each attribute will have a role group number other than 0. So, a role group number would be randomly assigned from 1 to 13.  The guidance can be found at 2.5.
