Making it a priority to respond to global health concerns and the needs of our Members and affiliates, we have taken several steps to serve the global terminology community since the start of 2020, including:
- Accelerating timelines to include relevant novel Coronavirus content into the January 31 SNOMED CT International Edition.
- Releasing an interim version of the SNOMED CT International Edition on March 9, 2020 triggered by naming changes of the virus by the WHO and ICTV.
- Including all COVID-19 content in the Global Patient Set.
- Producing an updated SNOMED CT to ICD-10 map reflective of COVID-19 content.
- Releasing the July 2020 International Edition additional rollup delta package for users that did not incorporate the March 2020 Interim International Edition release to update COVID-19 content.
- In addition to the scheduled authoring for the July 2020 SNOMED CT International Edition, we have also further refined the COVID-19 content. See section 2.3 of the International Edition Release Notes for details.
