Dear MAG members, thank you for filling in our Doodle poll. The above date/time has been selected for our next conference call.
MAG members should have received a doodle poll request today, to agree a time for our next full conference call.
If you have not received this email, we probably hold an old address for you in our mailing list. Please email me directly if this is the case.
Here's the link to the doodle poll: https://doodle.com/poll/ysyb7sv6u7qnatz9

As advised at the April 2018 Business Meeting in London, the new SNOMED OWL Toolkit now has support for also converting SNOMED CT Extensions in RF2 into OWL.

Please feedback any issues via the GitHub issues page.
Great work Kai!
Most Drug and Substance changes have been presented in the recent Alpha release, however the numbers are still evolving and will likely change before the final version of the release notes are generated in July. Some of the changes include Use of additional Axioms, which is explained in details in this briefing

As part of the work being done for the DL Enhancements, documentation has been generated to describe the new Necessary Normal Form:

You may or may not have heard that Robert Turnbull has left IHTSDO. As part of that change, Yongsheng Gao and I will now be co-chairing MAG meetings going forward.
I had to recreate the GTM meeting that we'll be using, so please note the new URL: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/439629885
See you all Thurs 26 January @ 20:00 UTC. Any requests for agenda items or apologies to me please.

Hi All
The agenda for our two part MAG meeting in Wellington is taking shape and now includes GoToMeeting details and advice on claiming expenses. See 24 & 25 October 2016 - MAG Face-to-Face Meeting, Wellington NZ
A number of agenda items have associated documents that would be good to read (and optionally comment on) before the meeting so we don't need to spend time on that:
- A SNOMED CT Description Logic Profile slide deck
- Using SNOMED CT with HL7 FHIR Resources
- Implicitness of relationship grouping
- RF2 to OWL - Transformation Issues
And thank you of course to everyone who has already contributed to these topics.
Best Wishes, Peter
Just wanted to advertise that Harold has posted a draft specification of how an RF2 to OWL transformation should work, described in English with SQL rather than using the Spackman PERL script as the gold standard. See Representation of SNOMED in OWL.v0.9
A number of issues came to light during this work and I'd like to invite you to consider these and modify the issues page as you see fit: Transformation Issues
It seemed more efficient to keep them all on one page and add text directly, but if people prefer (or if the text becomes uncomfortably large) I could split each issue to its own page and suggest using the comment functionality rather than editing the page. As you wish.
Peter
Hello Modeling Advisory Group and observers.
We're now due to schedule our 2nd full conference call of the year as detailed here: https://confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/mag/Modeling+Advisory+Group+-+Ways+of+Working
After discussion with Australia, the 22:00 CEST timeslot has been selected as the least of 24 evils, so I'd ask you all to mark your availability in this Doodle poll and I'll book the meeting slot later in the week:

Apologies to those who already filled in the poll for the earlier proposed slot.
Thanks!
Peter
