  3. Is it true that clinical course, due to and after are all self-grouped now?  Modifying...

I don't think you'd want to actually define a concept with a clinical course of   288524001 |Courses (qualifier value)|  so I'll change that Descendant or Self << to just Descendant <

I think I'd also like to make that change to all values in the interprets / has interpretation group.  Can you confim Bruce Goldberg?   I've done in that way in the template language.

    1. Yes, that seems reasonable.

  4. Ok I think the template language is good now.  1903 misaligned concepts detected.  Seems to be mostly cardinality issues - multiple role groups containing morphologies or finding sites, see : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/150hpMi6JF3r4VQHsjLO-PCa1I8j6VBP6rH2G2emuVMA/edit#gid=0

  5. Hi Peter G. Williams.

I am beginning to think that this template may be too general which is the reason for the multiple cardinalities and role groups with morpholgies and finding sites. I was attempting to create something similar to Yong's starter template for simple disorders. I may be better off with individual templates for specific diseases as I am already doing

  6. Hi Bruce Goldberg  I have updated the format of the concept model table, e.g. role groups are indicated by different colors rather than numbers. We could turn this template into a generic one for conditions with causal and temporal associations. It is possible to still include co-occurrent (and due to) with a finding. My suggestion for changes:

    1. The cardinalities for |due to| and |associated morphology| in the template language are not aligned with the model. They should be changed to 0..1 in the template language.
    2. The attribute cardinalities for |interprets| and |has interpretaion| in the concept model table should be changed to 0..1 as optional.
    3. The slot for |After| could be further extended to include other temporal associations, e.g. before, during.  The attribute can be changed to << 726633004 |Temporally related to (attribute)|  with a note for default value = |Due to|. The syntax for 'default' will be implemented later this year.
    4. We could also include an optional 47429007|Associated with (attribute)| in this template to cover conditions associated with devices etc.

    Cheers,

    Yong

  7. Hi Yongsheng Gao.  It appears that you may want to make this template more generic by including devices, procedures (temporal relationships other than after such as during and before imo would only  apply to procedures) and events? I thought of that but I believe it may be less complicated to just have separate templates for Disorder with disorder, Disorder with procedure/surgical procedure and Disorder with event. I have created some of these but will also need some revisions.

    1. Hi Bruce Goldberg, it is fine to have other generic templates for associations. In particular, co-occurrent could be covered by relaxing the cardinality in the simple disease template for templates to allow multiple role groups. The temporal association in this template can still be extended. Let's arrange a call when you are free to discuss how many top-level generic templates are needed and related to each other.

      Cheers,

      Yong

      1. Hi Yongsheng Gao. How about tomorrow after the QI call or Thus. at 16:00 UTC?

        1. Thanks Bruce Goldberg, I sent a Zoom invite with notes.
