  1. Yongsheng Gao Jim Case Would you please review this template.

I have started this as a QI project Note the definition includes local anesthetic but I have put this in the template.  I think we have much duplication since we have Angioplasty, Percutaneous angioplasty, with and without mention of balloon/transluminal but only one procedure as per the definition of angioplasty:

An angioplasty has three major steps: placement of the angioplasty catheter into the blocked artery, inflation of the balloon to open the blocked artery, and removal of the catheter. Local anesthetic is used so that you will only feel some pressure during the procedure.

  2. Monica Harry ,

Funny that you should send this as I spent quite a bit of time on GC-287 - Getting issue details... STATUS and wrote some thoughts about a modeling approach as well as issues with the current content.  This was assigned to me right after Paul left, but I am only now getting to it. There are issues with looking at angioplasty solely as balloon angioplasty.  Also, I was recommending changing the finding site to <<Lumen of vessel, which would require a large number of new body structure concepts.  I did not know that you had taken this on, but happy to collaborate in any way.

  3. I just came across it while trying to clean up the dilation/dilatation issues. Sorry, I did not get to the point of looking at GC tickets or trackers yet. I am fine to take it on once we agree on the template etc. Let's discuss with Victor and maybe find an interventional radiologist.

  4. Agree with Jim Case about the issue considering Angioplasty solely as a ballon dilation-and-prosthesis insertion procedure. Will take a look to literature and GC ticket and comment.
