How to search for concepts by ECL query to add members to or remove members from a reference set. 

Prerequisite steps: Log in to Reference Set Tool 2.0; From either Library or My Reference Sets in Dashboard and choose a reference set; Reference Set - Editing a reference set (Author).

Select Add/Remove by Search button above the member table. 


 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

Press the ECL Builder button.

Select a recent ECL definition from the history dropdown list in the search bar; OR 

Enter an ECL query in the ECL Builder modal. 

Press the OK button to populate the search bar with the ECL definition. 

Press the Search button. 




EITHER 

In the search results, press the Add Member button (the button icon is a solid rounded square with a “plus” Add symbol shown when you're able to add a conceptsymbol) next to any concept to add it;








OR 

Press the Remove Member button (the button icon is a solid rounded square with a “minus” Subtract symbol shown when you're able to remove a conceptsymbol) next to any concept to remove it; 


OR  

In the search results, click on a concept to open the concept details.  

Press the Add Member button (the button icon is a solid rounded square with a “plus” Add symbol shown when you're able to add a conceptsymbol) next to any concept in the concept details hierarchy to add it;



OR 

Press the Remove Member button (the button icon is a solid rounded square with a “minus”Subtract symbol shown when you're able to remove a conceptsymbol) next to any concept to remove it. 


OR 

Press the Add All button to add all concepts in the search results;

OR 

Press the Remove All button to remove all concepts in the search results. 


NOTES:  

  • If the concept to be added or removed has descendants, a secondary add/remove modal opens allowing the user to select to add/remove: self, descendants, or self & descendants.  
  • The tool will present a success message when members are successfully added/removed. 
  • Click the Download Report button in the success notification to download a report containing a list of added/removed members.  
  • The tool will present an error message if an error occurs when trying to add/remove members.
