Feedback types in Reference Set Tool 2.0.

A reference set may have both reference set-level and member-level feedback.

For reference set-level feedback, the feedback button appears:

  • At the top of the Reference Set Details page.
  • To the right of each reference set on the Library page.
  • To the right of each reference set on the Project page.

For Member-level feedback, the feedback button appears:

  • To the right of each reference set member of the Reference Set Details page.

Both reference sets and members can have open feedback and resolved feedback:

  • Open feedback is still under discussion.
  • Resolved feedback has been closed for discussion by an admin or the user who created the original feedback post.

Feedback may be public or private: Private feedback is indicated by a lock icon.

  • The author of the original discussion and the author of any reply may mark the discussion/reply as private.
  • A private discussion may be seen only by the author of the original discussion, the author of the reference set, and admin.
  • A private reply may be seen only by the author of the reply, the author of the original discussion, the author of the reference set, and admin.

The feedback button has two states:

1+ Open Discussions button:

  • The button icon is a solid speech bubble with the number of open discussions in a round notification badge.
  • A notification badge indicates the number of open discussions. The number of discussions in the notification badge is dependent on user access (for example, a private discussion in a reference set for which the user is not member would not be included in the total number shown).
  • The reference set or member has open feedback, which may include a mix of open and resolved feedback.

No Discussions button:

  • The button icon is three dots inside a speech bubble.
  • The reference set or member has no open feedback, though it may have resolved feedback.
  • No labels
