The Member release of the January 2019 SNOMED CT® International Edition is now available to SNOMED International Members only, from the MLDS distribution site.

The January 2019 International Edition should not be distributed to Affiliate Licensees, or any third parties until its public release date on 31st January 2019. 

All files distributed to SNOMED International Members for the January 2019 International Edition are available from the  “January 2019 v1.0” version in the “Offline & Alpha/Beta versions” section of the “SNOMED CT International Edition” project, which can be found on the “SNOMED Releases” page in MLDS, accessed here: 

https://mlds.ihtsdotools.org/#/ihtsdoReleases

The SNOMED CT International Edition contains SNOMED CT files in Release Format 2 (RF2) only, distributed in a zipped file archive:

  • SnomedCT_InternationalRF2_MEMBER_20190131T120000Z.zip

The Release Notes are separate from the International Edition release package, and can be downloaded as distinct files from the same MLDS release version:

  • doc_SnomedCTReleaseNotes_Current_en-US_INT_20190131.pdf

Please refer to the attached Member Release Notes document for details of changes made following the Beta Release published on 7th December 2018.  This document can also be accessed online here:

Please refresh your memory of all changes to this upcoming release, as published on the Early Visibility page here: https://confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/RMT/Early+Visibility+-+Planned+changes+to+upcoming+SNOMED+International+Release+packages, and in the Release Notes in section "3.3 Technical updates".  In addition, section "2.3.1 Logic Profile Enhancements" of the Release Notes contains links to documentation and instructional videos regarding the new Description Logic enhancements.
