Dear E-Learning Advisory Group members,

The April Business Meeting is fast approaching, if you have not registered please see April 2023 Business Meetings. Please note that registration is NOT required for online-only participants.

ELAG will be meeting in person and online via Zoom on Monday 3rd April from 13:30 to 17:00 BST (12:30 to 16:00 UTC) via the ELAG Zoom link.

To prepare for the meeting, we would appreciate you taking the time to fill out this form : https://forms.gle/fnfB8k4wAxtY33Zc8

This form allows you to provide a brief education member report for your member country which will be discussed during the meeting.

Please complete the form before Friday, March 24th 2023 - this will enable us to prepare the ELAG presentation for the meeting.

Please also review the agenda for the April ELAG meeting which is published at 2023-04-03 ELAG Hybrid Meeting (via Zoom). 

The call for abstracts for the Expo has also gone out with the deadline of April 17th for submissions. The Expo will be held 26th and 27th October 2023, as a hybrid event. For those attending in person the location is Atlanta, USA.

Dear ELAG Members,

We are pleased to announce that the call for abstracts for the SNOMED CT Expo 2023 is now open. We invite all interested parties to submit abstracts and share their experiences and results about the implementation and ongoing work with SNOMED CT.

By disseminating your results and experiences, we can collectively learn and advance the use of SNOMED CT with the objective of improving the quality of care and services for patients and users.

We encourage all those who have implemented SNOMED CT or are currently working on it to consider submitting an abstract. Please find further details on the event here: SNOMED CT Expo 2023

The schedule for the April 2023 Business Meetings has now been finalised. The meetings are being run as a hybrid event and registration for those attending in person is now open. Further information is available via link in this blog post.

The ELAG will hold a hybrid meeting on Monday 3rd April at 13:30-17:00 BST (12:30-16:00 UTC). There will be a 30 minute break at 15:00-15:30 BST (14:00-14:30 UTC).

If you plan to attend in person for this or other meetings, please complete the registration form.

Happy New Year

We are pleased to announce we have created and launched a new learning pathway

The pathway was developed with review from the Translation User Group

This short education pathway introduces SNOMED CT to Translators and covers the common requirements to understanding SNOMED CT. It incorporates e-learning content from pre-existing courses

By completing this pathway a learner will have the basic SNOMED CT knowledge that a translator may require in performing translation. This will help anyone who is starting on their SNOMED translation journey

In case you missed the news on Confluence, please note that the SNOMED CT Expo 2022 abstract submission deadline has been extended to May 1. We would appreciate it if you could please remind anyone interested in submitting and are hoping to represent their country's SNOMED CT efforts and present in-person or online at this year’s hybrid event in Lisbon, Portugal. Presenters attend for free!

New Foundation Course Review - Please volunteer

As discussed at the meeting, we welcome ELAG members to review the new SNOMED CT Foundation Course, and in particular the last two modules. The review period is from April, 11th to April 22nd. Should you wish to be included in the review group, please send an email to Anne arh@snomed.org, and you will receive an email when the course is ready for you to start the review.

Hi all,

First, I would like to thank you all for attending last week's E-Learning Advisory Group meeting. It is always a pleasure meeting with you and getting your thoughts and feedback on our initiatives.
Please remember to review the Member Sharing area of the E-Learning platform, and send me an email if it needs updating. Countries that are not currently represented here are more than welcome to send me an email with information that could be relevant to add and share in this area (arh@snomed.org).

I would also like to thank those of you who volunteered to review the first module of the new Foundation course. As said, the review will need to be conducted at the beginning of December, and I will send you further information about the process when we approach the start date.
