In SNOMED CT there may be an inconsistency on lingual or palatinal. Looking into root surfaces they are separate concepts - but buccal are missing. This means that there is a possibility that whoever made this could have intended to produce two surfaces on either side of the tooth - or just forgot about the side turning outwards.
But trying to fix it - would you say we should have concepts for both lingual and palatinal? Or one concept with both words as synonyms - and a generic FSN? My take is on the second.
And "entire buccal" seems to be a child of lateral. Would you say that lateral is the right word to describe both buccal and labial - being the same surface? I would say lateral possibly could be a joint description for mesial/distal, but my understanding might be flawed on this...

I agree with one concept and synonyms. Seems most logical.
