Getting Started

Access to the SNOMED International Slack workspace is by invitation only. Experience on other platforms has shown that it is easier to manage who has access this way.

If you have not already received an invite, please contact techsupport@ihtsdotools.org to request an account.

Step 1 — Join the SNOMED International Slack workspace

There is only one way to join the SNOMED International Slack workspace: accept the email invitation that you’ve been sent. Open the email invitation, and click Join. You will be guided along, but you will be asked to enter your full name, and display name, as well as a password so you can sign in and out with ease.

If you have deleted the invitation email, you can also find the SNOMED International workspace by visiting slack.com/signin/find, entering your email address(es), and you will receive an email with sign-in links for any workspaces available for you to join.

Step 2 — Set up your profile

Filling out your Slack profile helps other members learn more about you. We’ll already have the basics from when you created your account, but some workspaces may have included some additional custom profile fields.

Jump to the Edit your profile article on the Slack Help Center for detailed instructions. (Don’t forget to add a profile photo!)

Step 3 — Download Slack's desktop and mobile apps

You can sign in and use Slack from a web browser on your desktop at any time (just go to slack.com/signin). But by downloading the desktop and mobile apps, you can stay signed in to multiple workspaces, have more control over notifications, and stay in sync even when you’re on the move.

For download instructions, click the link for the apps that are right for you.
