Observables

The Content team members have been working with the Observables Project Group to review, update and further progress the Observables entity Inception/Elaboration document and associated modeling details.

Phase 1.Inception/Elaboration document and associated modeling details.

1. Addition and inclusion of necessary attributes and value ranges.
2. Modeling of the existing vital sign observable content (~150 concepts).
3. Update the Editorial Guide to include the new attributes with their domain and ranges for modeling observable entities

1. Loinc-1115 concepts require clarification with RII and/or Observable redesign project The list includes existing issues as well as new ones; therefore, the issues are in different stages of clarification (new, reported to RII, reported to the Observable project, reported to the Substance project, in process, deferred, etc.).About 500 of these concepts are related to a few major issues that are currently being discussed with the Observable project and RII.
2. Observation result / life phase – plans in development Currently on hold. It is a large project will require further development on tracker documentation and review. The representation of observation result also has dependency to the observation model which is still not finalised.
    
   • Phase 1 – Development, testing and documentation of Observables model (complete)
   • Phase 2 – Pilot of scalable authoring of observables content using new model (April 2016)
   • Phase 3 – Modeling of existing Observables content (January 2017)
