The SNOMED CT Machine Readable Concept Model Specification (MRCM) specifies formats for files that represent the concept model rules in the SNOMED CT Editorial Guide in a form that can be read and tested by a computer.

This is the first internal version of a new MRCM format that is based on use of existing SNOMED CT files and standard specifications. It uses the Expression Constraint Language to represent MRCM rules and a structure represented using the extensible SNOMED CT Reference Set Mechanism. This allows distribution of the MRCM as standard RF2 reference set distribution files and interpretation of the MRCM rules by tools that already support the expression constraint language.
