IS-A and Part-of modeling

1. Review and refine anatomy concept modeling for different part of relationships
2. Analyse the maturity of anatomy concept model by subject areas. Preparation of documentation on anatomy concept model and examples. The development will form the base for beta release, testing and quality assurance.
3. Update IS A relationship in production based on new concept model. The initial scope will be limited to skin structure and other subject are will be planned and will span several releases as the magnitude of changes runs in tens of thousands.

Sufficient definitions

1. Review and refine anatomy concept model for sufficient definitions.
2. Implementation of anatomy concept model into production of international release will have two key dependencies:
   1. Technical architect to support advanced description logic features. The logical profile needs to be supported by technical specification for release and tooling
   2. Content development dependency on detailed modeling for IS-A and Part-of.

1.On Hold, deliverable dependencies, modeling re-design approaches are being investigated-TBD -2017. Progress made on 2.B but continues to 2018, remainder transferred to 2018.

1. Base line changes that can support DL features ( impacts Drugs and Anatomy), testing and evaluation. This features are needed this year and next in order to make substantial progress.

1. Make 'part of' as defining attribute for Entire concepts and refine the part of relationships by region, constitution and system;
2. Remove 'part of' relationships from Structure concepts;
3. Remove the redundant inheritances. It will resolve the issues that technical team has to maintain part of relationship as a separate artefact. The refinement and alignment of part of relationships to other standards are out of scope. It needs consultation and documentation about solution and potential impact to implementation. This requires DL support and can not be implemented until such time.

1. Completed - new attributes have been added and the attribute 'part of' has been replaced by 'proper part of'.
2. Completed - all 'part of' relationships have been inactivated in the Jan 2019 release
3. Completed - the task is no longer needed because all part of relationships have been inactivated.

1. Revision for musculoskeletal system have been completed and release in Jan 2019.

The rest body systems are planned in 2019 item 1.

1. There are dependencies on Tooling functionality which will require a considerable amount of time for DL changes as well as classification changes in order to proceed with required Anatomy changes.

2. With FMA stalled and the standard not formalized, we need to ensure that our concept model follows the essential elements of good anatomy structure. Time will be spent evaluating clinical needs to enhance our model and not have the FMA as a constraint and we will look at alignment in future.

Review and refine anatomy concept model for sufficient definitions.

The implementation of new anatomy concept model will involve a large number of changes. The plan is to deliver the changes over releases and require resources for review.
