The difficulty with a situation like this is a bit "chicken and egg". If the CRG completes the guidance, and publicises it, the more likely to get Member support, and from that the work related to the resets/modelling would get on the Content teams workplace. Without SNOMED International (workplan) support, the CRG are unlikely to commit effort to completing the guidance documentation. My suggestion would be to gather Member support based on the Member countries represented by the current Allergy CRG membership. I would not see this as a particularly hard sell to gather Member support. In fact a good number of smaller countries begin their SNOMED journey with some sort of implementation related to allergies. Happy to help to get this on the Member Forum agenda as a starting point, and I for one think it would be a valuable addition to the SNOMED inventory. If the CRG is able to create some implementation guidance for Allergies on its own, then that would be fantastic. In terms of involving SNOMED International for the creation of refsets and modelling - this would need to go through our Content-team's prioritisation process to get onto their workplan. They have a pretty full work programme at the moment, given the 2020-2025 strategy put in place by the GA and MB, so there would need to be wider support through the Member Forum for this work to be considered. The allergy CRG met today. It was determined that the document was unfinished and abandoned at the time because no support was forthcoming to assist in creation of refsets and modeling new content to support the inclusive model. With that said, if the organization is willing to support this effort at this time, the CRG felt it would be advantageous to complete the document and make it publicly available. Bruce Bruce J. Do not open attachments or click on links if you do not recognize the sender. Hi Linda and Bruce, We had a call with vendor earlier today; one of their topics related to the recording of patient allergies in a prescribing system. I’m recall that I’ve seen some SNOMED documentation around this topic in the past; I think it was part of a larger document and I’m not sure where to find it. The Allergy CRG has discussed this topic as well. Can either of you point out specific documentation or meeting notes that would be helpful to share with the vendor?
