The Production release of the July 2020 SNOMED CT® International Edition is now available to all users, from the MLDS distribution site.
All files distributed for the July 2020 International Edition are available from the “July 2020 - v1.0” version in the “SNOMED CT International Edition” project, which can be found on the “SNOMED Releases” page in MLDS, accessed here:
The SNOMED CT International Edition contains SNOMED CT files in Release Format 2 (RF2) only, distributed in a zipped file archive:
- SnomedCT_InternationalRF2_PRODUCTION_20200731T120000Z.zip
The Release Notes ("doc_SnomedCTReleaseNotes_Current-en-US_INT_20200731.pdf”) can be downloaded as distinct files from the same MLDS release version, or accessed online:
In addition to the usual International Edition Release package, there is an additional, optional RF2 Rollup Delta package available in the same repository. This package should ONLY be utilised if you did not download and consume the Interim March 2020 International Edition release, AND you can use DELTA files to update to the latest content.
The SNOMED CT International Edition additional rollup delta package contains SNOMED CT DELTA files (ONLY) in Release Format 2 (RF2), distributed in a zipped file archive:
- SnomedCT_InternationalRF2_PRODUCTIONRollupDeltaPackage_20200731T120000Z.zip

Those Members using MLDS as their distribution site will find that their affiliates have access to the new release automatically.
All vendors and affiliates should please contact their National Release Centre (NRC) for information on when the latest release package will be available for download from the NRC website. Contact details for all NRC's can be found here - http://www.snomed.org/members/.
Please refresh your memory of all major changes to this upcoming release, as published on the Early Visibility page here: July 2020 Early Visibility Release Notice - Planned changes to upcoming SNOMED International Release packages, and in the Release Notes in sections "Technical updates" and "Resolved Issues" (where all changes to the final Production package made throughout the Alpha, Beta and Member Release cycles are logged).
NOTE: Two additional concepts (plus their related components) were added to the July 2020 release content after the Member release on 30th June 2020. They are therefore included in this final, Public release of the July 2020 International Edition. The two new concepts are detailed in the International Edition Release Notes (see above) however for information the new concepts are:
- 895231008|Not detected in pooled specimen (qualifier value)|
- 890195008|International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation Global Patient Set module (core metadata concept)|
