A new guide, COVID-19 Data Coding using SNOMED CT, has been developed with contributions from SNOMED International Members. This guide shows how SNOMED CT can be used to record, communicate and integrate clinical data related to COVID-19 for the purposes of healthcare service delivery, pandemic surveillance, international collaboration and retrospective data analysis.

The guide provides practical examples of SNOMED CT subsets that can be used to code a variety of COVID-19 related data elements, such as symptoms, risk factors and test results.  A set of computable SNOMED CT subset artefacts also accompanies the guide.

Currently draft and available for Community Review, SNOMED International is seeking input from implementers globally to evolve and finalize the guide.

Visit http://snomed.org/cv19 to review the guide, increase your knowledge of working with COVID-19 SNOMED CT content and offer your feedback. Submit feedback at info@snomed.org or using the feedback buttons at the bottom of each page within the guide.
