Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the recent Member Forum Workshop in Bratislava on the topic of "SNOMED CT on FHIR". It was very clear at this meeting that there is a high level of interest in sharing and collaborating between Members on implementation material that supports the use of SNOMED CT with FHIR. As a result:

  • We will be starting regular weekly calls to discuss and progress this collaborative work on Tuesday 7th November at 20:00 UTC using the SNOMEDHL7 Zoom meeting room. To join these meetings from your computer, please use this link - https://snomed.zoom.us/my/snomedhl7. To dial in by phone, please refer to the available phone numbers at https://zoom.us/zoomconference (and use the meeting id 242-348-6949). If you are interested in contributing to this collaborative work (particularly if it is directly relevant to your national priorities), please email the SNOMED-FHIR topics of interest to lbi@snomed.org.
  • We have established a page on the 'SNOMED on FHIR' Confluence space (http://snomed.org/fhir) to enable Members to share links to existing SNOMED-enabled FHIR implementation artifacts - see Member Sharing Page. If you have additional material you would like to share with other Members, please email lbi@snomed.org. Please note that if you would like to be sent alerts when announcements or updates are posted to this area, please go to http://snomed.org/fhir and select 'Watch' (with descendant pages).

  • We have set up an online, collaborative chat channel for discussions related to the use of SNOMED CT with FHIR on Snochat. The channel is called 'SNOMED-FHIR' and can be found at https://chat.snomedtools.org. Please note that this channel now allows messages to be cross-posted between Snochat (used by the SNOMED community) and Zulip (the online chat application used by the HL7 community), so that both communities can participate using their existing applications.

Please note that the agenda, meeting notes and slides presented during the "SNOMED CT on FHIR" workshop in Bratislava have been posted to the Bratislava meeting page.

Kind regards,
Linda.
