  1. Monica Harry Neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (Regime/therapy)  is explained at NAVA (getinge.com).  When I looked at the ISO 19223 Lung Ventilator and IEEE 11073-10101 terms, Getinge called the mode generically as "CSV-ES[pLim](EMG) (LC) (TRG) 21"  which means it is an Effort Support Inflation type, initiated by the EMG of the diaphragm, the maximum inspiratory pressure is limited to a set value using a Continuous Spontaneous ventilation, ventilation pattern (that's a mouthful)

    We already have

1186733000 | Continuous spontaneous ventilation with effort support (regime/therapy) |

NAVA would be | Continuous spontaneous ventilation with EMG-initiated, pressure limited effort support  (regime/therapy)

which should be the FSN with Neurally adjusted ventilatory assist  and NAVA as synonyms

Additionally, NAVA can also be administered as non-invasive ventilation just to complicate things

Patrick McCormick Andrew Marchant  (couldn't add Maria Braithwaite to the thread)

    1. Hi Steven, Thank you for the follow up. This is an example of a change request that you can submit via CRS please. many thanks, Monica
